We are delighted to announce that Andy Stanton as head of sustainability in the UK and Europe.

Andy will be responsible for leading Introba’s low energy and decarbonisation offer for clients, as the property sector grapples with stretching net zero targets.  Introba is a market leader in energy efficient and low carbon design – it was part of the consultancy teams that delivered the UK’s first Passivhaus Plus and net zero energy school, and the world’s first whole-life net-zero hotel.

Andy has experience from both a client and consultancy perspective.  He was head of sustainable buildings for Transport for London where he advised on new builds, including the Palestra building – the business’ headquarters – and West Ham Bus Garage, and retrofit schemes.  He played a key role in developing London’s energy performance contracting framework for retrofitting buildings, RE:FIT, working with the Greater London Authority.  He also spent over two years at Atkins as associate director for sustainability, setting up a Passivhaus delivery team focused on the education and residential sectors.

Andy is a member of the Low Energy Transformation Initiative (LETI), a network of over 1,000 built environment professionals founded by Introba to drive progress on climate goals.  He also sat on the board of the Better Buildings Partnership and was a guest lecturer at City University for 10 years.

Brian Goldsmith, managing director, UK and Europe, said: “We are known for leading the industry on climate action, and sustainability consultancy is a growing area for our business.  We’re seeing strong demand from developers, asset owners and public sector estate teams for guidance on how to deliver against net zero targets and navigate evolving legislation.

“Andy’s hire is the next important step in expanding our ability to advise clients on meeting their decarbonisation goals.  He shares our values and desire to work with clients, partners and peers to keep pushing the boundaries on sustainable design and help level up the whole sector.  His experience and expertise make him a fantastic addition to our already strong team.”
