Redefining Healthcare Through Technology and Vision

The Abbott Northwestern Hospital Campus Revitalization Program represents a bold step toward transforming healthcare delivery through state-of-the-art infrastructure and innovative technology. The project includes a new Central Utility Plant, Transportation Hub, and a 10-floor, 500,000 sq ft Surgical and Critical Care Pavilion featuring 30 new operating rooms and private, family-friendly patient rooms. To align with Allina Health's vision for the future, the program required a comprehensive evaluation of existing systems and a forward-thinking strategy to integrate cutting-edge technologies that enhance patient experiences, optimize workflows, and improve operational efficiency.

Introba is providing technology strategy and visioning, construction program management, and digital advisory consulting services to support Allina Health’s ambitious goals. Key contributions include:

  • Conducting technology visioning workshops to engage stakeholders and identify future capabilities enabled by the new facilities.
  • Assessing and planning upgrades for critical systems, including patient experience, audiovisual, building automation systems (BAS), access control and video surveillance, nurse calls, and emerging technologies like autonomous ground and aerial vehicles.
  • Developing a comprehensive study of patient experience technology use cases and integrations to enhance clinical and administrative workflows, ensuring seamless operation across the revitalized campus.

Our approach integrates visionary strategy with practical implementation, ensuring the campus revitalization achieves both immediate and long-term goals. By blending user engagement, advanced technology planning, and robust construction management, we are helping Abbott Northwestern Hospital redefine healthcare delivery. The new Surgical and Critical Care Pavilion, slated to open in 2026, will not only meet the highest standards of medical care but also set a new benchmark for patient-centered design and operational innovation.
