Sidara ESG Program

The ESG initiative was driven by the need to enhance Sidara's operations across multiple levels, including benefiting its employees, each operating company, the team, its clients, and ultimately, its future growth and sustainability. 

Recognizing the complexity of Sidara's large and diversified business structure, our approach was built on several key principles—establishing overarching guidelines applicable across the collaborative, flexibility in response to the needs of each company and region, engagement for capacity building, documentation to assist in accelerating the achievement of that purpose. 

The framework was designed not as a one-time solution but as a foundation for a continuous journey, ensuring engagement at all levels to build capability and foster a collaborative culture. By leveraging the collective experience of all operating companies, the framework aimed to set clear aspirations supported by a transparent and credible structure aligned with global standards, facilitating ongoing improvement.

To ensure its success, our scope of work covered the entire life cycle of the ESG program, from design to implementation. This approach included stakeholder engagement, benchmarking, data collection and analysis, and providing technical guidance to address gaps. The Introba team developed a maturity map based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework to guide Sidara through stages of "good," "better," and "best" practices. The framework aligned Sidara's business objectives with ESG goals and ensured that these actions delivered tangible results to its customers and the communities it serves. Additionally, the documentation provided within the framework was crucial for securing sustainability certifications, further accelerating the achievement of Sidara's broader goals.

Key outcomes achieved to date: 

• Program launch at COP28
• Baseline data collection and first Annual Report publication
• Establishment of internal processes, including team, governance, and reporting tools.
