The Washington Building
The Washington Building is one of the oldest state high-rise buildings tower along Bank Street.
Renovated in 2009, Introba (formerly Integral Group) provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for this prominent historic building in Richmond, Virginia. The project incorporates the complete renovation of The Washington Building, an existing twelve stories, plus a basement, steel-framed structure with an approximate total floor area of 131,159 ft². The building is located on the southeast corner of the Virginia Capitol Square and has a direct sight line from its westernmost exposures of the Capitol Building.
Introba’s work included new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and infrastructure, including VAV air systems, life safety smoke removal systems, electrical power and lighting, and all new plumbing systems.
