Introba is providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire engineering, fire protection, technology, and sustainability consulting services for Bendigo Law Courts in Bendigo, VIC, Australia.

In support of the revitalization of the city of Bendigo, the new Bendigo Law Courts will provide a new regional court precinct for the Loddon Mallee district. The design incorporates the culture and knowledge of the traditional owners, the Dja Dja Wuurung people, making the court a reconciliation statement.

Bendigo Law Courts will be the first to include multiple specialist courts on one site and the first Children’s Court in regional Victoria. Courtrooms will be digitally enabled, featuring state-of-the-art technologies allowing remote hearings, digital evidence display, video conferencing, and live streaming.

The building is designed for net zero carbon emissions, with various sustainable and environmentally friendly initiatives to reduce energy use, water consumption, and waste management. Targeting a 6-Star Green Star rating, the design for the Law Courts is fully electric, eliminating the need for gas in the building.
