Introba has been shortlisted for ‘Building Performance Consultancy (over 300 people)’ and ‘Embodied carbon award – consultants’ at this year’s CIBSE Building Performance Awards.

As a ‘Deep Green’ consultancy firm, our mission is centred around being a positive sustainable influence and making the planet a place for future generations to enjoy. Building performance is integral to ensure measured performance outcomes, and not just design intent to ensure we continue to meet our climate targets.

The CIBSE Building Performance Awards recognise the people, products and projects that demonstrate engineering excellence in the built environment. The CIBSE BPAs are the only industry awards that focus on actual, measured performance outcomes, and not just design intent or performance specifications.

This will be the ninth consecutive year Introba has been nominated for a prestigious CIBSE Building Performance Award.

Speaking on the shortlisting, Brian Goldsmith, Regional Director UK and Europe stated ‘’To have been a previous winner and now have a nomination in these awards for a ninth year reflects the hard work, passion and commitment that is put into our projects and initiatives by all the staff at Introba. It also confirms that our drive and commitment to continually improve as a firm, change legislation and share our knowledge openly does not go unnoticed. As we rebrand in the new year to Introba, we will also widen our specialist services offer, strengthen our building performance capability and ensure we remain at the forefront of providing our clients with the help they require to meet their current and future ESG commitments”.

Louise Hamot, Global Lead of Sustainable Innovation and leads our LCA and embodied carbon efforts stated, “Introba have invested years of hard work into pioneering research into embodied carbon. To see the industry recognising Embodied carbon as a major contributor to carbon emissions is the next step to ensuring alongside operational carbon that our net zero carbon goals keep on target. This is just the start of the journey, and we want to continue to push the industry to understand more on embodied carbon and create change globally to address it”.

The CIBSE Building Performance Awards ceremony will be held at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London, on Wednesday, 1 March 2023.
