Currently leading the climate and sustainability teams as a vice president at Introba, Ali Nazari is well versed in integrated design facilitation, sustainability, and advanced building energy simulations.
Widely regarded as a pioneer in his field, Ali has led sustainability designs for the first commercial Living Building Challenge project in Canada and the first certified LEED Platinum office in Vancouver. A natural leader with over 20 years of experience, he serves as the Vice Chair of the BC Chapter Leadership Board of CaGBC and is on the CaGBC’s Experienced Modellers List. Collaborating with local utilities, he has helped clients secure local green funding options from various energy efficiency incentive programs. Being part of an elite group of people with BEMP certification, he conducts Building Energy Quotient (bEQ) which provides vital information about a building’s energy usage. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia and is a recognized key speaker at many international energy modeling and sustainability conferences.
