Introba Light Studio Claims Two IES Awards

By Mat Loup
Our Light Studio team in Canada has another big feather in its cap. They were delighted to pick up two prestigious Awards of Merit recently from the Illuminating Engineering Society, a leading technical and educational authority around the world for more than 100 years on the lighted environment. This was the 50th anniversary of the IES Awards, which were presented during the 2023 Conference.
The Light Studio team's two successful submissions were:
-
Outdoor Lighting category: The Three Watchmen, in front of the Audain Art Museum in Whistler, B.C.
-
Indoor Lighting category: Simon Fraser University Harbour Centre Lecture Theatre Renovation in Vancouver, B.C.
Many congratulations to Ellie Niakan, Roxanne Corpuz, Sean Casey, Samuel Champagne, and Mary San Miguel!
This success comes after the team also won two international LIT awards for:
-
Old Town Project: Chicago
“These wins are a further acknowledgment of the great work that our Light Studio creates for all of its clients,” says Chris Doel, Senior Vice President, Canada. “We were the only firm in Canada this year to collect more than one IES Award of Merit because the judging panel looked for complex lighting design projects that met all the criteria of good lighting.”
