1070 Joan Crescent - Craigdarroch Castle Visitor Centre
Introba provided mechanical engineering consulting services for the Craigdarroch Castle Visitor Centre project, located at 1070 Joan Crescent in Victoria, BC.
The project involved two main components: (1) the restoration of a heritage house (previously occupied as residential apartments), and (2) the construction of a new visitor center/ticketing lobby attached to the existing building. The new center will house archives and workspace in the basement, along with administration offices on the upper floor. The existing mechanical systems were completely removed and replaced with a mini-VRF system for the main level, heat recovery ventilators, and electric heating for other spaces. The work also included a new fire sprinkler system for the entire building and climate control for the archival storage area.
