Residences at the John Marshall
The John Marshall Hotel was constructed in 1929 and was the premier downtown hotel in Richmond for many years and is a registered historic landmark.
The current owner wished to fully renovate this former grand hotel and conference facility into a $50-million mixed-use project that will return the property to its former elegance. The 16-story apartment building is fully renovated and retrofitted, and the facility houses 238 luxury downtown apartments with about 20,000 ft² of retail spaces, restaurants, and a rooftop swimming pool. The renovation aims to make John Marshall a green building with environmentally friendly elements such as energy-efficient windows and mechanical systems.
Introba (formerly Integral Group) completed a feasibility study, schematic design, and design development documents for the adaptive re-use of this complex building into a mixed-use project.
