TGOD Production Facility
Introba was engaged to design the Mechanical and Electrical systems of TGOD's new 150,000 sf hybrid greenhouse and enclosed growing facility in Ancaster, ON.
The site sits on approximately 100 acres and represents the first phase of an ongoing development.
Working with the Greenhouse designer, we provided mechanical and electrical designs for the pharm grade grow, laboratory, processing and administrative areas. Through the process we also looked at Energy Optimization and alternative measures to reduce operating costs and GHG emissions.
The facility targeted LEED certification as well as the following:
- Controlled atmosphere, minimal exhaust.
- CO2 system for introduction into grow areas.
- Cooling and dehumidification with condensate collection.
- Extensive metering and data collection.
- HEPA and charcoal filtration for exhaust air.
- Extensive controls (BAS) for all operations.
- Alternative equipment procurement strategies
- Potential CoGen or alternate energy sources for power supply.
- Extensive irrigation system for growing operations.
- Lab grade rooms.
- Drying and Production rooms
- Coordination with security consultant for extensive security requirements.
- Rain water collection for greenhouse operation.
