IG | VISION Embodied Carbon in MEP Design | Live Event Recording
IMPROVING THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT HAS BECOME A PRIORITY IN THE FIGHT AGAINST THE CLIMATE CRISIS.
Greenhouse gas emissions responsible for global warming – or carbon emissions – must be reduced dramatically and rapidly. The industry has long focused on operational carbon but has ignored embodied carbon emissions related to the rest of the life cycle stages of buildings – especially in building services (MEP) engineering.
To make well-informed decisions to help mitigate global warming, all members of the design team need to embrace whole life carbon thinking.
This session, presented by Global Lead of Life Cycle Research Louise Hamot, will introduce embodied carbon concepts and present Integral Group’s approach to whole life carbon in MEP design.
