Introba is providing medical equipment planning services for the Emory Musculoskeletal Institute in Brookhaven, Georgia.
This new specialty medical office building includes a surgery center, office space, and a research facility with six operating rooms, four procedure rooms, pre-op/post-op, two MRIs, radiology, physical therapy, 72 exam rooms, a 15,000 ft² advanced research lab, teaching operative suite, administrative offices for Orthopedics, and a 10,000 ft² conference center. The project also included a notable dedicated physiatry room within the design. Unique features of the project include the fish lab and the research lab for studies on human tissue.
The new LEED-certified building is a comprehensive, patient and family-centered facility and was created to serve as this service line’s central location and house multiple centers of excellence and programs. Services provided include orthopedic and spine care, physical therapy, and imaging services.
The new facility in combination with Emory Sports Medicine Complex will allow Emory Healthcare to increase access and care for patients throughout the Atlanta region and beyond. It will house Emory’s Orthopedics Ambulatory Surgery Center and a substantial component of the Orthopedic Research Laboratory.
