Pomona College | Estella Laboratory and Andrew Science Hall
Introba provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and design analytic services for Pomona College’s Estella Laboratory and Andrew Science Hall in Claremont, CA, United States.
The Estella Laboratory, originally constructed in 1958 on the Pomona College campus, was renovated to upgrade all major systems and increase programmable space. The facility currently houses the physics, astronomy, and mathematics departments, and upgrades will include physics laboratories, both teaching and specialized, machine shops, a computer lab, teaching spaces, faculty offices, a planetarium, an outdoor laboratory, administrative offices, storage, and student lounges.
Introba (formerly Integral Group) designed the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, which will use 65% less energy and 35% less water than a typical laboratory design and follow the Labs21 Best Practices Guides.
